Food Shelf Relocates with Property Purchase
We are happy to announce the successful purchase of a property by Summerhill’s client, Scott-Carver-Dakota CAP Agency, Inc. of 738 1st Avenue East in Shakopee, MN. Peter Kordonowy with Summerhill Commercial represented CAP Agency in this transaction, and Tim Tysk with Carlson Partners represented the Seller, Minnesota Corn Growers Association. The purchase closed on April 26, 2021 for a sale price of $1,200,000.
The property is in downtown Shakopee and is on 1.63 acres and has 2 buildings: a 10,000 sf 2 story office building and a 9,990 sf warehouse building. The Buyer, CAP Agency, needed to relocate their food shelf and administrative offices from their current location due to a planned sale of their building.
CAP is currently retrofitting the property, and getting ready to move in soon. After much looking out on the market, this property worked out well for CAP in that they could put their administrative offices in the office building and have their food shelf operation in the warehouse building. Also, the location in downtown Shakopee seemed like a good fit for CAP, their employees, and their clients. CAP, being a great asset in the community, had a lot of support in their move from the county and city, and the new location will work very well on into the future.
